The map of boilers in New York City Cooperatives show the location of the building, the age of the boiler and it's primary fuel type, #4 or #6. PlaNYC has implemented a phase out of these two heating oils because they pollute significantly more than other available fuels, such as #2 oil or biodiesel. If this process is successful, by mid-2015 there should be no more #6 heating oil be burned in New York City. This would be very cool.
